Modeling Human Civilization as a Hyper-Pyramidal Heap Optimization Structure

In order to properly conceptualize reality, we need to model civilization starting from first principles, in a mathematical manner. We are, fundamentally, mathematical entities, nested within complex mathematical structures.

Every structure lends itself to organization in a hierarchical fashion, whether they are companies, sports, governments, religions, politics, markets, etc.

Additionally, our structures put together all end up forming higher-dimensional hierarchies, as follows:

- A company represents a dominance hierarchy of individuals, all working together in order to achieve a certain purpose.
- The company is nested within a hierarchy itself, competing for dominance with other companies for the same market.
- The market itself is also nested within a dominance hierarchy, competing for dominance with other markets.

Essentially, society can be modeled as a hyper-pyramidal heap, that across time, is playing an optimization game against reality.

The insertion of a new “mathematical structure”, whether that’s an individual person, an academic paper, or a mathematically pure entity such as Bitcoin, within this hyper-pyramidal structure, will result in a “bubble-up” set of operations placed against it. The “bubble-up” to the top is a logarithmic operation, which serves to explain Bitcoin’s exponential rise.

It remains to be seen whether Bitcoin will rise up to the top of the hyper-pyramidal structure underpinning our reality, however, we can reasonably infer by game theory, and by 10 years worth of statistics, that the likelihood of this happening is extremely high.

As some additional food for thought, we should be aware that even though these thoughts were never well articulated in terms of mathematics and data structures, humanity has done its best to articulate them through symbolism, religion and art.

There’s a deep reason why the pyramid symbolism, with the eye on top, has been imagery that has managed to persist through millennia. It’s not an evil conspiracy theory, and it’s not the supernatural either. It’s a set of very deep thoughts that were never well articulated. Additionally, the same principle applies to all religions that have managed to survive the test of time.
